How it works

Add a badge to README.md

After signing up, you’ll receive a personalized code snippet that you can add to your GitHub README.md file.

Each time someone visits your repository page, sponsor badge will be loaded. Every time a sponsor badge is shown on your repository page, you’ll receive funds.

Choose your sponsors

We choose our partners carefully. Only companies with products or services relevant to the tech community are part of our partnership network.

HiveFive gives you the power to choose which companies you want as sponsors. From your dashboard, simply whitelist or blacklist individual sponsors.

Withdraw funds

The more traffic your repository has, the more funds you receive. On average, you’ll earn approximately $1 for every 1000 times sponsor badge is displayed.*

By the 15th of each month, you will receive funds for badges served the previous month. At any point in time, you can withdraw funds to your PayPal account.

* We track the number of times sponsor badge is served but we also take your audience engagement rate into consideration.
